Conference Registration Fees
Early Bird and Standard Registration
Early Bird registration opens in April and closes on June 30, 2016. Standard registration will be opened from July 1 to August 1, 2016. If maximum capacity is reached, the conference registration will be closed prior to the deadline. Participants are required to be a 2016 EFA member.

*According to Norwegian Tax Regulation (Article 3-1) all conference fees are subject to VAT.
** PhD students will be asked to show their valid student ID card at the conference Registration Desk. In case of failure to show a valid student ID card, the person will be asked to pay the academic registration fee at the Registration Desk.
The registration fee includes:
- Attendance to all sessions, lunches and coffee breaks during the conference days.
- Welcome Reception on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. (Fully Booked)
- Dinner Buffet* on Thursday, August 18, 2016.
*This event has a limited availability. During registration you will be asked if you wish to attend the event. If you do not register for this event, you can check for availability at the Registration Desk on Thursday.
The registration fee does not include:
- Conference Gala Dinner* at Gamle Logen on August 19, 2016 (EUR 80 + 25% VAT/person)
- Accompanying partner Buffet Dinner* on Thursday, August 17, 2016 (EUR 70 + 25% VAT/person)
- Cultural Activity* on Thursday, August 17, 2016 - Visit the National Gallery Museum (EUR 8 + 25% VAT/person)

The registration of participation is binding. Please note that the conference program may be subject to changes.
Registration will close on August 1, 2016. If maximum capacity is reached before this date, the conference registration will be closed prior to the deadline. Participation is not guaranteed until full payment of the registration fee is received.
Participants will receive a confirmation email from our registration system after the purchase of the conference registration. An invoice of the purchase will be available and downloadable from your personal ConfTool account.

Modification or additional tickets
If you wish to modify or purchase additional tickets (EFA Annual Meeting, Dinner Buffet* and Conference Gala Dinner*), please contact the efa2016 [at] bi [dot] no (conference organizer).

If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to nominate someone else to attend in your place at no additional cost. Please advise substitutions by writing to efa2016 [at] bi [dot] no (conference organizer). Please note:
- Tickets for the Welcome Reception are not transferable after August 1, 2016.
- Any substitution that is not communicated in writing will not be considered valid.
- The financial aspect has to be handled between the registered individual who is not attending and the individual who is substituting.
Cancellation policy and refunds
Due to compromises that the local venue has contracted for the organization of this EFA 2016 Annual Meeting, we have subject our cancelation policies to certain restrictions. Cancellations need to be made in writing to the efa2016 [at] bi [dot] no (conference organizers) with the cancellation form attached (to display the interactive pdf document, download and save the document). Emails without the completed form will not be considered. Taxes are not refundable.
An administrative fee of EUR 65 will be withheld from all refunds:
- Full refund: before July 15, 2016.
- 50% refund: before July 31, 2016.
- No refund: after August 1, 2016.
Refunds will take place within 30 days of receiving the completed cancellation form. We are not responsible for the potential differences in the exchange rate. If payment has already been made, credit card disputes cannot be used to obtain a refund. In order to receive a refund, you have to follow the procedure described above.
In the event that the meeting is cancelled by the EFA 2016 Organizing Committee, or by any reason or any factor out of the control of the Organizing Committee, such as force majeure, natural disasters, weather conditions, acts of terrorism, or by any other cause beyond the control of the EFA 2016 Organizing Committee, which results in the EFA 2016 Annual Meeting cannot take place; the EFA 2016 Organizing Committee will try to make all possible to reschedule the Annual Meeting. In such cases, it is entirely the decision of the local EFA 2016 Organizing Committee to decide on the refunds of the Registration Fee. The liability of the Organizers shall be limited to the refund and they shall not be liable for any other loss, cost or expense, however caused, incurred or arising. In particular, the EFA 2016 Organizers shall not be liable to refund any travel or hotel costs incurred by delegates or their organizations. It follows that delegates and accompanying partners are advised to take out comprehensive insurance, including travel insurance.
Any collection costs incurred will be the responsibility of the debtor.
The EFA 2016 Organizing Committee will not accept any liability for death, injury, any loss, cost or expense suffered by any person (including accompanying persons or partners or attendant caregivers). In particular, the Organizers will not accept any liability for losses arising from the provision or non-provision of services provided by hotel companies or transport operators. Nor can the Organizers accept liability for losses suffered by reason of war including threat of war, riots and civil strife, terrorist activity, natural disasters, weather, fire, flood, drought, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown within any premises visited by delegates and/or partners in connection with the meeting, nor losses suffered by reason of industrial disputes, governmental action, registrations or technical problems which may affect the services provided in connection with the meeting.
EFA 2016 Organizing Committee reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. EFA 2016 Organizing Committtee may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by EFA 2016 Organizing Committee including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.
Any person or organization not affiliated with EFA 2016 may not use, copy, alter or modify EFA 2016 Annual Meeting photographs, graphics, videography or other, similar reproductions or recordings without the advance written permission of an authorized designee from EFA 2016 Annual Meeting.
